With today’s technology, it should be simple to find a GPS tracker that is easy to use and works without a costly cellular plan. While there are enough to choose from, most are either too big and clunky with a required power supply, have really expensive monthly fees with inconsistent reach, or non-intuitive front end app. Luckily, Invoxia has come to the table with their GPS tracker that is easy to use, has an integrated SIM card with an included 1-year subscription ($29.90 per year after), 4 month battery life, 4G LTE-M, Anti-theft & geofencing alert, and a proximity radar and ring. It’s lightweight, compact and discrete design makes it easy to pack and track.

Key Features:

  • Standalone GPS tracking with unlimited range
  • Journey history and alerts
  • Exceptional battery life (up to 4 months depending on usage)
  • No monthly fees (within the first or second year)
  • Lightweight and discrete
  • Emergency button
  • Fre iOS & Android app
  • Compatible with IFTTT

Invoxia GPS Tracker Review Breakdown

Design

The Invoxia is only 105 x 27 x 9.5 mm and weights 30 grams. It’s made of ABS plastic and black anodized aluminum with a natural leather strap attached. The lithium-ion 300 mAH Wh battery is USB-rechargeable and can operate in temperatures ranging from 32 °F to 140 °F. It’s small and compact design makes it easy to stash away in a pocket or purse and durable enough to hook under a scooter or car.

Functionality

It’s functionality has been adapted for multiple uses. Including cars, motorcycles, boats, snowmobiles, backpacks, luggage, kids, teens, and elderly. Hopefully you don’t need to track your significant other, but hey… it can do that too! The companion app allows you to locate the GPS tracker at anytime. You can also view the history of the tracker to see each location it’s traveled. The IFTTT automation platform allows you to connect the Invoxia to all your favorite products and services so you can receive alerts by email or text messages, control your lights, music, and thermostat when the tracker enters or leaves your home area, or even log your tracking events in a spreadsheet. The battery life lasts between 15 days to 7 weeks on a single charge, depending on the location and update frequency chosen.

Range

The GPS tracker sends its location every 5, 10, or 30 minutes while moving. Plus the Anti-theft alerts notify you in real time in case of any suspicious movement or attempted theft. The Geofence mode sets geographic areas that alert you when the tracker enters or leaves the designated space. The proximity radar has a hot/cold feature to make it easy to find during the last few feet. While the range is limited to the United States of America, it does work anywhere within the borders (contrary to Bluetooth only trackers).

Value

You can purchase the Invoxia with a 1 or 2 year cellular data plan that is already integrated. No set-ups and hassle free. After the first or second year of evaluation, you can decide if you want to fork out the $29.90 per year thereafter. This is one of the cheapest plans I’ve seen. With the ease of use, I think it’s worth every penny. Overall, the Invoxia GPS Tracker is one of the best trackers I’ve tested and reviewed. Its simple design and companion app allow for easy and accurate tracking with alerts.
