Design:
The new models for the Ninja Chef High-Speed Blenders feature top of the line design. They are sleek, stylish, and functional with easy to clean surfaces. Omitting many of the buttons, the primary control panel is now digital. This is fantastic for drips and spills making it easy to wipe up without getting food and liquids in the cracks or crevasses of the buttons. The new design features vessel recognition so once locked in, the LED panel will adjust to the programs tailored for that vessel. Another great feature for all you left handers out there is the two orientation alignments which accommodates southpaws as well.
Performance and Functionality:
The Ninja Chef High-Speed Blender has some really good built-in settings. You can Choose between the 10 Auto-iQ programs or switch to Manual mode for total variable speed control. We put all of the 10 Auto- iQ settings to the test. We made smoothies, frozen drinks, salsa, and almond butter. These settings are auto programmed times and the blade speed varies throughout the auto cycle. For the most part, the Auto-iQ settings worked really well. We had to adjust the liquid a little on some of our recipes during the blending cycle to make it work properly. We found that we just started the cycle over and the end product still turned out well.
A great new feature is the updated design lets you blend hot ingredients so you can go with from the pot, to the blender, to your bowl. We made tomotillo salsa for canning, so this function was fantastic. They do give a recommended hot food max fill line, which we may or may not have exceeded…. but the salsa finished perfect! The best part is when you are finished, just add some hot water and a little dish soup and with a push of a button, the automatic clean function will do the work for you.
Durability:
Well, as we mentioned above, having the updated design with the tritan pitcher, allowed us to blend hot liquids as well as ice, frozen fruits, and even nuts for making nut butters. The base itself has suctioned feet so the blender will not move and vibrate off your counter if you happen to walk away. Believe me, it has happen to us before with other blenders and it is not pretty! Really, the overall design and build quality is solid. From the handles and locks on the lid, to the tamper and even the power cord, which is heavy duty. It’s a solid blender that will last for some time.
Value:
Bottom line when you look at the Ninja Chef High-Speed Blender at the price point for the CT805, which is just the base and the tritan pitcher and tamper, this is such a great value. The Ninja Chef is giving Vita-mix a run for their money and it is costing the consumer way less. In addition the versatility with the vessels for the blender make it great for those that are always on the move.
