Last year pro skater Mike Vallely opened up shop and started manufacturing his very own skateboards. The company is know as Elephant Brand Skateboards and they’re currently pumping out 17 original decks. Earlier today on a tip from one of our loyal readers we checked out one of Elephant’s most successful models – the Jersey Devil.

Paying homage to one of Mike’s earliest skateboarding influences Tom “The Jersey Devil” Groholsk, The Jersey Devil skateboard from Elephant Brand features killer graphic from artist Tim Clark and was designed by Mike V himself to pull big airs with easy manipulation in mind. The Jersey Devil is considered a hybrid board. It has some shape yet still looks, feels and operates like a modern popsicle-stick skateboard. If you ask Mike, he’ll tell you “It’s the best of both worlds.”
