Thorny Rose Wines were recently launched with an invitation to celebrate the pre-party and see where the evening takes you. One question… where do we RSVP? The Thorny Rose portfolio boasts five easy drinking vintages that encourage you to sip wine on your own terms. With grapes selected from Washington’s 46ºN latitude – a region similar to that of the world class regions of France to produce their 2010 Chardonnay, we recently took up Thorny Rose on an opportunity to sip and review their blended white wine. Here’s what we discovered about Thorny Rose Chardonnay…

Overall: We give Thorny Rose (2010) Chardonnay an A- (Highly recommended). On a scale of 1 to 10, the share-ability factor of this Chardonnay is an 11! And though you’ll undoubtedly run into wine snobs who’ll scoff at its screw cap, you can take great pride in the fact that you’ll never be the jerk at the party with a bottle of wine… but without an opener. HATE when that happens! On top of that, Thorny Rose quickly shatters all misconceptions any of those wine snobs may have as soon as it hits the lips. We found Thorny Rose Chardonnay to be a fun, crisp, dry, delicious white wine that we would be proud to bring to any party – even if it was a party of one. Also, since the Thorny Rose brand gives you a huge bang for your buck, you could afford purchase their whole line (5 varieties in all) to fuel your tasting party without breaking the bank.
