On July 24th you have a great excuse to shoot, sip, mix and thoroughly enjoy all the varieties of tequila.  Somehow, this date was given the honorable title of National Tequila Day.  As with a handful of other National Day’s celebrated, it is still uncertain where National Tequila Day started.  Was it just a silent push from tequila companies?  Maybe, but nobody’s complaining.  This history rich beverage was given it’s name from the town of Tequila, Mexico in the area known today as the state of Jalisco.  Jalisco is where the Spaniards discovered the blue agave plant which is used to make tequila.  If you need a little help coming up with ways to appreciate this distilled beverage made from the prized blue agave plant, check out our list of some favorites.
