Overall: We give Piedra Azul Blanco a B (Highly Recommended) This is an excellent tequila for entertaining guests and mixes very nicely. We enjoyed this blanco tequila in a variety of ways, but came away most impressed with its ability to mingle with mixers almost unnoticed. Though it’s excellent for mixing we also found it to be subdued enough for sipping neat or the occasional shooter. Next time you’re looking for a new tequila to get the party started we suggest you seek out Piedra Azul.
MIX IT UP WITH… “Vampira”
Ingredients: Ice, 1 ½ oz. Piedra Azul Blanco, 1 oz. Clamato, 1 oz. freshly squeezed lemon juice, Mexican Squirt of other Grapefruit Soda, Lemon wheel or wedge garnish.
Directions: Fill a 10 oz. glass with ice. Scatter salt on the ice, then pour in the tequila, hot sauce, Clamato, and lemon juice. Top up the glass with grapefruit soda and stir gently. Garnish with lemon and serve immediately.
