Whether you’re hitting the trails, commuting through the city, or tracking your next workout, having a reliable way to mount your phone is essential. Quad Lock has built a strong reputation for creating rugged, secure, and versatile mounting solutions for everything from bikes and motorcycles to cars and armbands. In this review, we put the Quad Lock system to the test to see how well it lives up to the hype—and whether it’s worth the investment for your next adventure.
The Case
Quad Lock offers several cases for each device. From the original, to licensed McLaren, Oscar Piastri, and Lando Norris, to the latest MAG case, and even a universal adhesive to slap on the back of your current case. I opted in for the Galaxy S24Ultra MAG Case. The MAG case is compatible with all twist, lock mounts, but with the added convenience of magnetic mounting (with the Quad Lock MAG mounts). Plus it’s capable of wireless charging, has drop protection, protective lining, and a thinner, flatter, and customizable MAG color rings. It’s a snug fit with a solid build quality. If I were to change one thing, it would be to add a little grip along the back and edges. This phone case is smooth like butter and can slip out of your hands if you don’t have a firm grip. However, you can add a Phone Ring Stand to get a more secure hold of your phone; plus it doubles as kickstand for hands free viewing.

MAG Bottle Mount
This innovative 700 ml (23.6 oz) stainless steel, double-wall vacuum-insulated bottle keeps beverages cold for 24 hours or hot for 12, and blends hydration with hands-free tech use. The lid integrates a Quad Lock MAG phone mount for secure, magnetic attachment, while the chug cap is leakproof and easy to drink from. The lid twists off for easy access when adding ice or dropping in a scoop of pre-workout.
The MAG bottle’s phone mount works seamlessly with any Quad Lock MAG-compatible case. It provides stable support for viewing workouts, entertainment, or recording content on the go. Plus, the magnetic finger‑loop makes it easy to carry or clamp onto any backpack with a separate carabiner. The bottle has a solid build and fits easily into my bikes bottle carrier and any standard cupholder. Again, if they were to add some texture or a coating to the exterior, it would be much easier to hold onto. It’s not exactly “lightweight”, especially when it’s filled, but it is heavy duty and can handle just about any drop. It has now become my favorite bottle for everyday use. It keeps my beverages ice-cold all day during these hot summer months and the integrated mount makes for a perfect little phone stand.

MAG Wallet
Crafted from sleek black vegan leather with a slim, stylish profile this MAG Wallet has minimal bulk and can carry up to 3 cards. This wallet utilizes Quad Lock’s MAG system for a reliable, snap-on magnetic attachment to MAG cases and stays put even when pocketed. Unlike twist-lock mounts, this is purely magnetic but it still feels very secure. It includes a convenient cut‑out notch for easy single-handed card removal, or if you don’t feel like taking out your card, it does have a ‘tap to pay’ functionality (may vary on certain card readers). This wallet is perfect for the minimalist that doesn’t like to carry a fat wallet. However, it must be removed for wireless charging of the phone.

Auto (Suction Base) Mount
Quad Lock offers several different mounts for your car or off-road vehicle including the Suction Windscreen/Dash Mount, Heavy Duty Suction Mount, Vent Mount, and Adhesive Dash/Console Mount. They also have a custom builder on their website where you can basically create your own mounting system. I decided to try it out and create my very own custom mount for my truck. I started with the MAG Head, then I added the MAG Wireless Charging Head that attaches to the Dual Pivot arm and Suction Base. The MAG head is perfect for a simple magnetic attachment without the twist and lock for a quick and easy mounting experience with an even easier grab and go action. With the wireless charging head, you don’t have to deal with plugging your phone into the port every time you mount it; set it and charge it. However, if you want to use Android Auto (and not just bluetooth connectivity), you’ll want to pick up the Quad Lock Wireless CarPlay/Android Auto Adaptor (more on this adaptor in the next section). The Dual Pivot arm makes it easy to get the exact positioning you desire while the suction base makes it easy to mount, un-mount, and re-mount anywhere with a flat surface.

Wireless CarPlay/Android Auto Adaptor
The Quad Lock Wireless CarPlay/Android Auto Adaptor lets you ditch cables by converting wired CarPlay or Android Auto to wireless. Just plug it into your car’s USB port, pair your phone via Bluetooth, and it automatically connects the next time you start your vehicle. When you pair this adaptor with the MAG Head, you get the best of both worlds. I love the ability to just get in my truck, slap the phone on the MAG Head for charging, and let the Android Auto Adaptor automatically connect without ever having to touch a wire. I was actually surprised at how easy it was to setup. Plus it comes with USB-A/USB-C adaptors, allowing you to get the proper fit for your vehicle. Definitely one of my favorite accessories from Quad Lock.

Quad Lock Suction Windscreen / Dash Mount
The Quad Lock Suction Windscreen / Dash Mount features an industrial‑strength suction cup and a rigid polycarbonate body. Compatible with all Quad Lock cases or universal adapters, it offers a one‑stage lock system with a 360º adjustable gimbal for flexible phone positioning. If you want to use this mount on the dash instead of the glass windshield, I suggest you pair it with the Suction Windshield/Dash Mount – Adhesive Dash Pad. This pad allows the mount to stay in place on non-glass surfaces. Keep in mind that this pad is adhesive and is suitable for one-time use.

Cup Holder Mount
The Quad Lock Cup Holder Mount transforms your vehicle’s cup holder into a sturdy phone mount. Designed to fit cup holders between 70 mm and 100 mm, it uses a twist‑to‑tighten grip-lock system for secure installation. A flexible gooseneck arm offers easy positioning in portrait or landscape mode—ideal for navigation or hands‑free use.
Built with a forged steel core, glass‑fiber reinforcement, and a reinforced aluminum gooseneck, the mount balances strength and adjustability across varying terrains—from city roads to off‑road conditions.
If you want to make use of your cup holder, I highly recommend the Cup Holder Mount. I personally leave this mount in my Golf Bag as it has become the perfect companion when hitting the links. I use my phone for tracking my score and now I can easily access my phone instead of having to dig for it in the golf cart compartment.

Motorcycle
If you love to ride with music and navigation, the Motorcycle – Wireless Charging heads are a must have. Once you connect the IP66 rated SAE terminal cable to your motorcycle’s battery, simply lock your phone on and go. No need to fumble with extra cables. The secure dual-stage twist lock keeps your phone charged and safely mounted to your motorcycle so you don’t have to worry about it falling off while riding. Most phones these days should be able to handle rain, however, they do sell phone ponchos for added water protection if you get caught in a downpour. Accessory – Quad Lock To Action Camera Adaptor
If you have an action camera such as a GoPro or an Insta360, then it’s worth investing in this camera adaptor. Especially if you have multiple mounting brackets and vehicles. Instead of spending time tightening down a screw and missing the shot, you can simply set, twist, and record with these nifty adaptors. While riding my SxS in the back country it was easy to adjust and mount my camera in different positions as well as swapping cameras and vehicles on the go. These adapators are great when you are shooting something time sensitive and don’t have time to waste.

Adhesive Mount
The Adhesive Dash/Console Mount is a great option for those looking to keep your device positioned and secure while driving. A great alternative if you don’t want a suction cup mount or if you’re dealing with a curved surface. It’s held up in the extremely hot summer we’ve had so far (where all of my previous adhesive mounts have failed). While the twist-lock head is compatible with this mount, I would suggest going with the MAG head so you aren’t constantly putting un-necessary pressure on the adhesive every time you lock and unlock your phone from the head mount. The MAG head I have works great and my phone has never popped off (even while hitting the giant potholes on these Michigan roads).

Bar Mount
Quad Lock offers Cycling mounts, which work great when hitting the trails on my bicycle. However, I wanted to make a slight adjustment on mine so I could easily adjust the tilt position without unscrewing the bar mount. Plus, I wanted this mount to double as a monitor mount for my camera rig or any other mounting that required a bar or pole bracket. So I made use of their custom Kit Builder once again and created my very own. This time I started with the Short Lever Head, which I placed on the Single Pivot, and mounted all of that to a Bar Clamp (Medium). What’s nice about the bar clamp is that it comes with 3 separate spacers so you are sure to get a snug and secure fit. The short lever head is nice and compact (13.9mm high and total width of 52mm). It’s made from a combination of tough nylon and stainless steel, plus it has the dual-stage lock that can be fixed to any 360 arm or base, and it can be adjusted in 10 degree intervals so you can get the perfect position. The Single Pivot provides even more adjustability with 90 degrees of vertical rotation and 360 degrees of horizontal rotation. This is one of the most secure mounts out of the entire lineup and is very versatile.
