Design:

While the compact design adds to the speaker’s convenience, the cylindrical style makes setting it on uneven surfaces a little bit of a chore. If you’re able to set up on a flat surface, then the design works beautifully, allowing for the two speakers to project sound impressive enough to mimic a much larger and more expensive unit.

The G-TUBE gives you the added element of ruggedness that fulfills the requirements for portability and performance. Having the luxury of taking electronics outside without worry about rain, or a spilt drink destroying your brand new toy is a major plus.

Ease of Use:  

Simply put, the G-TUBE is a breeze to set up, pair and get right into using. Once it’s all charged up, which took me a little over a half hour to do from right out of the package, pairing it was as simple as a tap of the phone. The pause and volume access is at your fingertips and makes it easy to adjust the levels quickly. By double tapping the “play” button you’re able to skip tracks without holding your paired device. With a third quick tap of the “play” button the G-TUBE will skip back to the previous track. The AUX line-in feature offers the chance to play directly from devices that aren’t Bluetooth enabled as well.

Acoustics:

The big sound that comes from the tiny duel speakers can fill a room with no problem. The sound is crisp without any distortion or static. The G-TUBE performs like a speaker two to three times the price. The roughly 33 foot Bluetooth range allows more freedom than many other speakers in the same price range.

Battery Life:

Charging the 6 hour battery is easy enough after you unlock the sealed access point. In keeping with the durable design, the access point is closed off by a metal latch and bolt, protecting the exposed power, headphones and line-in jacks protected. However, once unlocked, the metal bolt that closes the latch easily falls out, rolls away never to been seen again. Keep an eye on it and all will be well.

The battery life itself lives up to expectation. Once fully charged, which from a completely dead battery should take almost 3.5 hours, the G-TUBE played, without a new charge, for nearly five and a half hours. The party ended before the G-TUBE quit.

Value 

Retailing for $40.00 you’d be hard pressed to find a wireless speaker that will keep up with an active lifestyle. The G-TUBE is a beautiful blend of form, function and durability.
