Joe Rocket’s newest jacket, Crossfire, has so many great features; they made sure you are getting your money’s worth. The outer shell is made of Invista Cordura® material that is waterproof, UV treated, and breathable. This jacket comes ready with plenty of adjustability for fit and ventilation. The Waterproof seams, full-length internal storm flap, and YKK® zippers keep you dry in wet conditions. The full sleeve liner is insulated to provide warmth, but is also removable for even more breathability. A simple unzip in the front chest, arms, and back rear exhaust help to provide an excellent amount of ventilation to help keep you cool in warmer conditions. There’s even a nifty snap to keep the two chest ventilation areas open for proper air flow while riding.
The double overstitching is the first step for ensuring this jacket will last. The overbuilt abrasion resistant shell with adjustable CE approved armor in the shoulders, elbows, and spine provide added protection in the case of any wipeout. Fortunately we haven’t had any spills, but there are plenty of documented cases where riders came out unharmed thanks to this Crossfire Jacket.
There is plenty of storage space with the 2 outside hand warmer pockets and 1 deep inside utility pocket. For your safety, there is a reflective striping on the back, shoulder, and cuff to help keep you visible at night. To top it all off, there is an 8″ rear zipper to attach compatible pants for a secure connection and added protection for your lower half.
With all these features packed into this jacket, the price tag of $249.99 is well worth the investment. From the comfort, style, and adjustability, the Crossfire Jacket has an excellent value and is a great addition to the Joe Rocket line.

Outbreak Boot
Key Features:
- Matte finish leather chassis
- Reinforced shifter panel
- Non-slip sole design
- Double stitching in all stress areas
- Padded ankle cuff for added comfort
- Rear pull loop
These boots were made for riding! From the reinforced shifter panel to the non-slip sole design, these boots help keep your feet on the pegs while riding and grip the ground nicely in wet conditions. They will take some time to break in, but that seems to be common among all the riding boots we’ve reviewed so far. The matte finish leather chassis is a clean look and the padded ankle cuff adds more comfort. One of the nice features is the rear pull loop, but unfortunately one of them snapped right off the first time I put them on. So, off they go. Not a deal breaker, since I never really liked how they always seem to get in the way of the cuff part of the jean, but it still would have been nice to have these triple stitched so they could have lasted a bit longer.
Cafe Racer Glove
Key Features:
- Soft Nappa leather outer construction
- Drum dyed leather padded palm
- Classic retro styling
- Articulated Full Flex™ panel for mobility on cuff and fingers
- YKK® zipper entry with gusset
- Pre-Curved ride friendly design
- High density padding on knuckle and thumb area for protection
- Perforation holes around fingers for ventilation
- Embroidered logo application
- Comfort elastic inside cuff
If you ever caught a random pebble on your knuckle while riding without gloves, you know what a pain it can be. So if you want a great looking pair of gloves that have that classic retro style, the Joe Rocket Cafe Racer gloves are the perfect accent to complete this collection. The soft Nappa leather outer construction and drum dyed leather padded palm are very durable. The pre-curved riding design makes it easy to grip n’ rip the throttle. Plus, the articulated Full Flex™ panel adds a good amount of mobility on the cuff and fingers. These gloves come ready with a high density padding on the knuckles and thumb area as well as perforated holes around the fingers for ventilation. My only issue so far is there seems to be some areas on the inner index finger that have what feel’s like too much stitching, causing some minor irritation. I’m hoping after some more riding, this will eventually break in and become unnoticeable.
Not only has the Cafe Racer glove captured that classic “rocker” style, it’s impressive list of ride-specific features also captures the elusive sweet spot between protection and comfort with the Nappa Leather.
