Recently our friends at Datrek invited us to go hands-on with their newest innovation in golf bag technology – the Datrek F-15, which sounds more like a tactical fighter jet than a cart bag…. until you get a look at it. After first laying eyes on the Datrek F-15, immediately it was apparent, this golf bag packed performance, styling and features in spades. Say goodbye to the days of behemoth cart bags blowing a disk in your lower back during the trip from your trunk to the cart, this bag is a mere 6.5 lbs… in fact, with the Datrek F-15 you can eliminate back problems from your list of excuses for that triple bogey on hole 8.

Design:
The aggressive design will meet the needs of most every golfer out there. Datrek did a great job making this bag look sleek, almost like a stand bag, but also incorporated the features you’d expect in a cart bag. Club storage is awesome, with 15 individual full length dividers, finding your next club is fast and easy, while removal and put away is smooth as silk.
You can access to your tees, glove and divot tool with your eyes closed because of the thoughtfully placed outward facing features. Moving the F-15 around using the soft grip handles at the top of the bag turn a former chore into a near luxury. In total, the design has been well thought out and executed bringing the golfer everything they need in a streamlined package!
Storage:
With an impressive 10 total pockets this bag can haul all the goods you need for a successful round of golf. The over-sized ball pocket easily holds 2 dozen balls, plenty to keep you going even when water hazards gobble up your shots like a black hole. Space to store rain gear as well as your other on-course accessories is plentiful. The placement of the storage pockets makes the items you use most often easily accessible…especially the insulated cooler pocket for your on-course refreshments! This bag doesn’t hold quite as much as the mammoth Cart Bags of the past, but why did you ever need that much storage to begin with, unless you were using your golf bag as a suitcase? For the size and weight the storage is rather impressive on the F-15 Cart Bag.
Durability:
The Datrek F-15 is constructed with thick durable nylon and zippers that are hefty enough to last. After using the bag a few rounds there is no significant wear to speak of. The club dividers and handles have a stiff, rugged feel. The soft grip handles do see the most abuse throughout a round and displayed some scuffing after our trial, but overall this bag is built to survive several seasons and will remain looking good.Value:
The Datrek F-15 retails for $179.95 and resides at the intersection of performance, utility and value. Its size and weight gives it a leg up on other cart bags, however there is no loss of functionally and storage. The market is full of bags with similar offerings that cost significantly more.

The Datrek F-15 is a stylish, lightweight cart bag that you can fill up with plenty of balls, clubs, cloths, and drinks. All the while priced to keep you out of bankruptcy court.
