The 2024 Slingshot Roush Edition is an exhilarating fusion of performance and style redefines what we expect from a three-wheeled roadster. This 203HP, limited-edition model is a head-turner with a bite to match its bark. I’ve tested just about every Slingshot version Polaris has to offer, and the 2024 Roush Edition is one of my favorites.

Key Features:

  • Manual (5-Speed) or AutoDrive Option with Paddle Shifters
  • ProStar 2.0L Engine 4 Cylinder
  • 203 HP – with two drive modes
  • 8500 RPM
  • 9.77 gal fuel tank
  • Brembo slotted Rotors
  • Color Matched Center Strip & Stitching
  • Exclusive Roush seat
  • Slingshot Excursion Top
  • Spacro Pedal Covers
  • Blacked-Out Badges

Design and Aesthetics

The Roush Edition’s design is a showstopper. The exterior is draped in a striking, exclusive paint scheme that combines Roush’s signature colors with unique accents and decals. The aggressive wide front and large single back tire give it a menacing look that stands out from the crowd. Custom Roush badging and aerodynamic enhancements add to its dynamic presence. The interior is just as impressive. The limited-edition steering wheel and color matched center stripe and stitching adds another level of exclusivity with race-car design elements.

Interior and Comfort

Inside, the Slingshot Roush Edition doesn’t skimp on comfort or luxury. The cabin is a blend of modern technology and high-quality materials. The seats are bolstered and designed for spirited driving, with Roush-embroidered headrests adding a touch of exclusivity. The 7″ display and infotainment system features an upgraded touchscreen with Apple CarPlay, Ride Command+, and Back-up Camera. While these standard seats are comfortable enough, if you are making the investment, I would definitely recommend upgrading to the heated and cooled seats as this will make driving for longer periods of time much more comfortable. The excursion top is excellent for keeping you shaded during those bright sunny days and will also help deflect the rain in case you get caught in a downpour. You will still get wet (we found out the hard way), but at least you won’t get soaked if you don’t have time to find any covered parking.

Performance

This is where the Slingshot Roush Edition truly shines. Powered by an enhanced 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine, it churns out an impressive 203 horsepower, thanks to Roush’s performance tweaks. This upgrade delivers a thrilling ride with a 0-60 mph time that rivals many sports cars. The suspension has been fine-tuned for a balance between sharp handling and ride comfort, making it just as capable on twisty backroads as it is on the open highway.

The steering is precise and communicative, which provides an engaging and responsive feel. The exhaust note is distinctively Roush, providing an exhilarating sound to your drive. The addition of Brembo brakes, slotted rotors, and sport-tuned shock absorbers enhances the driving dynamics, ensuring the Slingshot remains planted and controlled at high speeds.

From high-ways to country roads, we put some miles on this beast. It may not be as smooth of a ride on some of these Michigan roads, but it did handle well, especially around the curves. We also got in some night rides and it was surprisingly comfortable and easy to see thanks to the upper and lower accent lights along with the dual sweep LED backlit gauge and LCD Display.

The Roush has a standard “comfort” riding mode and a more aggressive and responsive “Slingshot” mode. You can really tell a difference when accelerating and shifting at a higher RPM and especially around the curves. The redline on these are high, so there’s a ton of room in 2nd and 3rd to really let out the roar and truly feel the “Slingshot” effect.

Technology and Features

The Roush Edition comes equipped with advanced driver-assistance features, including traction control, stability management, and a rearview camera. The ride also benefits from a new adaptive cruise control system, making longer journeys more comfortable. Custom Roush-designed instruments and gauges provide real-time performance data, allowing enthusiasts to track their driving metrics.

Final Thoughts

The 2024 Slingshot Roush Edition is a standout in the world of three-wheeled vehicles. It combines striking design, exhilarating performance, and advanced technology into a package that is both practical and thrilling. It’s a top tier model that lives up to its pedigree, offering a unique driving experience that is sure to delight enthusiasts and collectors alike. If you’re in the market for a vehicle that offers unmatched fun and head-turning appeal, the Slingshot Roush Edition is definitely worth considering.
