  • Moisture Transport System

 Review Breakdown:

  • Comfort……………..10
  • Design……………….8
  • Durability…………….8
  • Affordability………….8

Overall: (34 out of 40) This long sleeve tee is absolutely perfect for early bow season when the temps are warm and little insulation is required. Personally, I think this is just a nice shirt to have around. I try to keep all of my hunting gear sealed up in a scent control duffle, but one way or another this tee keeps finding it’s way into my personal gear. It’s super light and ultra comfy. The only down side… no scent control.

Performance 1/4 Zip Fleece

Designed with UA Storm technology to keep mother nature at bay, a versatile 1/4 zip and handy chest pocket, this performance 1/4 zip fleece from Under Armour claims to have the power to help hunters remain unseen, unheard, and undetected. Here’s what we discovered..

Key Features:

  • Available in 4 camo patterns
  • Anti-Odor technology
  • Quiet construction

Review Breakdown:

  • Comfort……………..9.5

  • Durability…………….10

Overall: (35.5 out of 40) We found this fleece to be a versatile option for either layering-up on chilly days or keeping it simple on the mild ones. The 1/4 zip allows for easy on/off as well as some adjust-ability when it comes to ventilation. Throughout testing we fell in love with this fleece for its comfort and functionality. It’s an ideal option for hunting at temps of 50°F and up, or as a nice layering option for late rifle season in the Northern Midwest.

Ridge Reaper Early Season Hunting Pants

Engineered for early season use and decked-out with Under Armour’s exclusive “UA Scent Control” technology – these hunting pants look great and mask your scent from prey.

Key Features:

  • Durable Water Repellent (DWR) finish
  • Quiet construction
  • Wind-resistant

Review Breakdown:

  • Comfort……………..10
  • Design……………….7
  • Durability…………….9
  • Affordability………….7

Overall: (33 out of 40) Currently available in RealTree AP-Xtra, these hunting pants are comfortably lightweight and roomy – with space to layer-up as Fall creeps towards Winter. The additional pockets (4 outside and 2 in) are a nice bonus. Lined with soft material they protect your personal items nicely when tucked away. While the UA Storm finish protects well against moisture, these pants aren’t fully waterproof. So be prepared to dry them out after a morning of trekking through dew covered brush.

Scent Control Gloves

Autumn hunting can be one of two things… exceedingly warm or surprisingly cold. And sometimes both in the same day. With the Scent Control Gloves from Under Armour you’ve got options. Scent control for when the wind is giving you trouble and cold protection for when the temperatures suddenly take a dip.

Key Features:

  • UA Scent Control technology
  • Moisture Transport System
  • Built-in nose wipe

Review Breakdown:

  • Comfort……………..10
  • Design……………….10
  • Durability…………….8
  • Affordability………….8.5

Overall: (36.5 out of 40) Ideal for bow hunters in mild weather, the Under Armour Scent Control Gloves are super lightweight, extra stretchy and have integrated rubber grips that cover the entire gripping area of the hand. The scent control aspect is great and built-in nose wipe might sound a little gross, but believe me… it comes in quite handy when you’re trying to stifle your sniffles as your prey approaches.

Overall: (38 out of 40) This piece of hunting gear really grabbed our attention, but not until we put it on and tested it out in the field. Its lightweight construction is the same as UA’s Early Season Hunting Pants, and we found this 1/4 zip hunting hoodie to be exceedingly comfy (the hood is awesome) and tremendously functional. A stand out feature for us were the kangaroo pouch with bonus mini-pock for your calls, devices, ect…

Valsetz Venom Mid Tactical Boots

Crafted for the likes of the military to be durable and rugged enough to put up with all terrains, the Valsetz Venom Mid Tactical Boots from Under Armour were recently outfitted RealTree camo prints and made available for hunting folks like you and I.

Key Features:

  • Agressive tread
  • UA Spine chassis

Review Breakdown:

  • Comfort……………..10
  • Design……………….7
  • Durability…………….9.5
  • Affordability………….8.5

Overall: (35 out of 40) Registering in as some of the most comfortable boots I’ve ever personally laced up, the Valsetz Venom Mid Tactical Boots (in RealTree AP) are super aggressive and lack no amount of traction when needed. I found climbing in and out of tree stands (even in wet conditions) to be a breeze. They may look bulky, but feel much smaller once you put them on. The only real detractor we noticed throughout testing was that they’re not waterproof. Wet conditions = damp socks.
