Winter is coming. And we’re pretty pumped about it – so bring it on! To make the most of the coldest season of the year, you need to be dressed tackle it whether it’s to and from the office or on the slopes. Columbia is one of most trusted brands in the game so we were excited see (and wear) what they had new for this winter. They sent us the newest items in their women’s line to test for ourselves so bundle up and check them out.

Heatzone 1000 Turbodown Long Hooded Parka Jacket

1682951_508_fKey Features:

  • 1000 TurboDown Wave™ Insulation
  • Omni-Tech™ waterproof/breathable critically seam sealed
  • Omni-Heat™ reflective lining
  • Responsibly-sourced down insulation
  • HEAT SEAL technology eliminates baffled stitches, so the down stays in and the cold stays out
  • Attached, adjustable storm hood with removable, foldable synthetic fur
  • Active Fit
  • Available in 3 colors

This is one seriously warm winter jacket. It’s like a wearable sub-zero down sleeping bag. When we first unzipped it to take a look at the interior, the first thing we noticed was the Omni-Heat™ reflective lining since it reminded us a bit of those silver reflective emergency blankets you get in a first aid kit. When you put on the jacket this lining starts its job immediately and starts warming you up like a cozy baked potato. For being a thick, down jacket it has an active fit design so you don’t feel like the Stay Puft Marshmallow Man wearing it. The fluffy faux fur hood is the cherry on top.
