– Deuces TriClimate Review –

COMFORT:

Deuces Triclimate Jacket(8 out of 10) The Deuces TriClimate jacket is a little stiff right out of the package but that’s because it’s equipped with HyVent waterproof  technology to ensure you stay dry and comfortable in the wettest, heaviest of snow. You’ll almost forget the stiffness as soon as you slip it on for the first time. Sure you get a bit the raincoat-crunchy sound but that means the HyVent is working. The Deuces TriClimate removable interior jacket is beyond soft and helps balance the stiffness of the outer layer. After a couple hours on the slopes, the stiffness disappears and all you notice is how warm and dry you are – even after biffing it a dozen times trying to impress your friends.

For warmer days, you can choose to wear the Deuces TriClimate inner layer or the outer layer alone. We honestly could sleep like a baby in the removable inner layer. Okay we did sleep in it. It was a long day of boarding and it was SO warm and SO soft.

The only thing that we could do without when it comes to comfort is the elastic cuffs on the outer layer. The elastic combined with the placement of stitching and waterproof fabric can become an annoyance to your wrists.

Style:

(8 out of 10) Ladies, you all know how hard it can be to find a winter coat that can face all of the elements without making you look like a marshmallow. The Deuces TriClimate has a feminine cut so you can still see your natural curves even with both layers on. Best of all, the jacket is basically three coats in one so you have options. You’ll dig wearing the inner layer to take in some Après-ski – we did!

Waterproofing:

(10 out of 10) Staying dry is crucial while enjoying the great outdoors in the cooler months. You may have the warmest coat but if you get caught in a heavy snowfall and it doesn’t have proper waterproofing, you’re sunk. The Deuces TriClimate comes complete with HyVent – a superior waterproof technology that utilizes a polyurethane (PU) coating for waterproof protection, moisture permeability and durability. Whatever type of snow Mother Nature throws at you, you can be sure that you are going to stay dry. The only moisture you are going to feel in this jacket is your own perspiration from staying so warm.

Versatility:

(10 out of 10) The Deuces TriClimate is the chameleon of cold weather jackets. You can wear it to ski, board, snowshoe, hike, and so much more. Thanks to the removable inner layer, you have three separate jacket options at your disposal.  The hood is also removable and can be used in conjunction with several helmet sizes while still allowing the wearer full head rotation and maximum peripheral vision. Also the Deuces TriClimate is not just for winter, with the layer options we found it to be a great option for the shoulder months in spring and fall. The outer later can be used to stay warm on those cooler summer nights as well.

VALUE:

(9 out of 10) Coming at $260 the Deuces TriClimate might seem a little on the pricey side. However, when you go through all of its capabilities the Deuces TriClimate is a great deal. No longer do you need to have multiple jackets for all of your different outdoor activities. This jacket can be used for a daily wear all the way to outdoor snowsports. It’s like purchasing three different jackets for the price of one – what a steal!

THE BOTTOM LINE:

If you are looking for a jacket that will be your go-to for the next few winters, The North Face Deuces TriClimate is your new best girlfriend. This three-in-one coat provides superior warmth while keeping you dry and looking good in the long hard days of winter.
