If you’re planning on throwing a Super Bowl Party this weekend make sure you do it right! As the ultimate party host there’s a few things you’re going to want to take care of on game day. Numero Uno, you must have plenty of food. This means snacks, sandwiches and lots of carbs. And then there’s cheese… always have lots of cheese on-hand. This is important, because you never know when some chili might show up begging for some cheddar. Chili is also a great game time feast and easy to make too. Other than heaps of food spread out for all to enjoy – you should also have copious amounts of beer and liquor available for your guests. Light beer is great for anyone worried about a hangover or “having too much fun” because they have to work in the morning. For those of us really looking to have a good time this Super Bowl Sunday you’re going to want to flip the switch over to liquor by kick-off!

To help you fuel-up this Sunday we’ve teamed up with some tasty liquor brands and concocted 10 Game Time Cocktails that will be the hit of your party. Let’s check them out now. Let the scrolling begin…

Papa’s Pilar Blonde Rum

rummingbackPapa’s Pilar is an adventurous new rum inspired by life and times of Ernest Hemingway. “Papa” referring to Hemingway and “Pilar” – the name of his 1934 Wheeler Playmate Cruiser boat. From a marketing perspective this brand is off the charts in our opinion. Hemingway + Rum… how did someone not think of this sooner!? Everything from the unique bottles – which were built to resemble canteens used in WWII to the obvious nautical theme is masterfully branded. Recently our crew of professional booze-hounds was tapped by the Hemingway Rum Company to put their newly launched rums (blonde & dark) through the paces at our tasting table. Never one to turn down samplings of rum, like pirates, we commandeered a few bottles and let the pouring begin.

The all-natural, proprietary distillation process yields a very smooth, soft flavored tequila. Finely crafted in small batches, CRUZ Tequila is an exceptional sipping tequila with a much lighter nose and taste, very different from the stronger flavored brands that dominate the ultra premium segment.
